The Irish Social Policy Association (ISPA) will host its biennial research conference in the Carmelite Community Centre (56 Aungier Street, Dublin 2) on Friday, 27 July 2018. The conference is intended to provide a forum for postgraduate and early career researchers in social policy and related academic fields.

We invite submissions for presentation at this conference. Potential participants (Masters or PhD students at all stages, as well as professionals less than 5 years out from their degree completion) should submit a title and brief description (max. 250 words) of their presentation topic by e-mail.

What type of presentation should I submit?

Presentations at this conference should deal with an Irish or international social policy issue. Possible policy issue areas of focus may include (but are not limited to): income, welfare, and poverty; health; education; housing; children and families; equality studies; employment; social protection; social services; social work; and community development.

Conference fee

This conference is free of charge to attend.

Funding to cover travel costs is available

The ISPA will cover receipted travel expenses of up to €40 for any presenter travelling to the conference from a third-level institution outside of Dublin.
