Postgraduate Conference 2008
The Irish Social Policy Association (ISPA) will host its annual postgraduate conference at Trinity College Dublin on Friday 26th September 2008. The conference aims to provide a forum for postgraduate researchers working in the area of social policy or related academic fields to present their projects to fellow students in a supportive and productive environment.
The conference has been divided into six sessions including:
- Communities, Interest Groups and their Engagement with Social Policy
- Housing Policy and Immigration
- Social Research Methods
- Ageing and Social Policy
- Debates in Education Policy
- New challenges for the Family and Social Policy
- Migration and Social Policy
Dr . Anthony McCashin (TCD) will be opening the conference and Dr. Tracey Skillington (UCC) will be delivering the Keynote address entitled 'The current impact of civic cosmopolitanism and international justice on policy-making in Ireland'.
